Dr. Noor Safiza Mohd Noor

Dr Noor Safiza Mohamad Nor is a Senior Research Dietitian at the Nutrition Epidemiology Research Centre, Institute for Public Health (IKU), Ministry of Health Malaysia. She received her first degree in Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1995, Master Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2003 from the Flinders University, Australia and her PhD from the Newcastle University, United Kingdom in 2012. She has been working with the Ministry of Health as a Research Dietitian for more than 20 years and her core business includes research, training and consultancy. Her area of interest in research and clinical practice include nutrition epidemiology and community dietetics; focusing on dietary rehabilitation for children with disability particularly children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), questionnaire development and validation, scoping review, obesity intervention for adults and qualitative studies. Since 1997, she has been involved with various research activities at the Institute for Public Health, namely the Evaluation of the Malnutrition Programme for Children Below 5 years (2000), The National Hearing Loss Disorder Survey (2005), The National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS 2006, NHMS 2015, NHMS 2018), Dietary Rehabilitation for Cancer Patients (2007), My Body is Fit and Fabulous at Home (MyBFF@home) (2013-2016), Scoping Review and many others.
