Proffesor. Dr. Zabidi Azhar Mohd Hussin graduated with a MBBS from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, in 1985. He then pursued his postgraduate studies for a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Glasgow and graduated in 1991. He then became a member of the Royal College of Physicians MRCP (UK). In 1996, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health of UK (FRCPCH).

From 1999 – 2005, he was the Dean of the School of Medical Sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia. From 2005 -2016 he served as the General Manager of USAINS TECH SERVICES, a subsidiary of Universiti Sains Malaysia while also serving as a Professor in Paediatrics at the University.

Throughout his career he has been actively involved in research related to child health, especially Paediatric Neurology. He has published extensively in numerous acclaimed international journals and has also been actively involved in various administrative and professional duties at both international and local levels.

He was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Perdana University in May 2017.
